How does it work?

Families arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. on Fridays and begin with a 20-minute group time of liturgy that includes sharing, singing and prayer. Our classes for upper elementary students and older are approximately 75 minutes long. Younger students enjoy a recess while middle school age children and up get a ten-minute break between classes.

Our teachers are primarily parents who themselves partner with the parents of their students to achieve our goal of teaching a few subjects well. Instructors commit to teaching according to our philosophy and growing in classical pedagogy through training from ClassicalU.

Parent participation is required based on the membership level most appropriate to each family. (See Roles & Responsibilities for more information.)

Our day is divided up into two sections: Academic Mornings and Enrichment Afternoons. While classicists would hesitate to draw a distinction between academe and enrichment time, this provides a distinction for those who desire enrichment opportunities that do not include the rigors of Latin, for example.

Our theater options and classes offered for preschool and kindergarten age children provide opportunities for growing in wonder, community, memorization, and a love of art and beauty.
